What is the Your Reformer Pilates Education Program?
It's a comprehensive certification course designed to take you from a Reformer enthusiast to a qualified instructor. The program is AUSactive-accredited and covers everything from anatomy and movement to class planning, cueing, and teaching methodology - all built around how real instructors actually teach.

How long does the course take and can I fit it around my life?
The full certification is 150 hours, designed to be completed self-paced over 3 to 6 months. There's no fixed schedule, you study when it works for you, whether that's early mornings, lunch breaks, or weekends. If you already hold an accepted fitness qualification, you may be eligible for a fast-tracked version with fewer hours, which recognises any prior learning you may have done such as anatomy, history of Pilates. We want to reward and recognise the personal investment you have already made rather than having to duplicate modules. How is the course delivered?
It's a blended learning format. You'll complete 80 hours of online learning across six structured modules on the Your Reformer Learning Platform, alongside practical application and assessed teaching. You study around your life, not the other way around. The learning management system has a variety of different learning tools to suit your preferred style of learning, whether that be videos, written assignments, quizzes or exams.

What do the modules cover?
The six modules cover the full Reformer repertoire (80+ exercises), anatomy and movement, class planning and sequencing, props and injury considerations, and teaching methodology. By the end, you'll have the knowledge and practical skills to teach with confidence in both group and one-on-one settings.

Do I need prior Reformer experience to enrol?
This course is available to anyone that is just starting out on their Reformer journey to someone who is a complete enthusiast. If you have a health and fitness background or other related wellness experience it will help, though it's not essential.

Is there an assessment?
Yes. There are two online theory exams, a 30-question anatomy exam and a 30-question Pilates theory exam plus an assessed teaching component where you'll demonstrate your ability to instruct and cue in a real class setting. It's designed to make sure you actually feel class-ready, not just paper-qualified.

Will I feel ready to teach after I finish?
That's exactly what this course is built for. The blended approach means you're not just learning theory, you're applying it throughout. You'll leave with the skills to plan classes, cue effectively, modify for different bodies, and manage a room. Confidence builds through doing, and you'll have plenty of opportunity to practise before you're assessed. You also get 6 months of InstructorPro Lite included so you can keep developing well beyond graduation.

Is the certification recognised?
Yes. The certification is accredited by AUSactive and internationally recognised, aligning graduates with accepted industry standards across markets. This is particularly relevant if you want to teach in multiple countries, work across facilities with different insurance requirements, or build a standalone teaching career. We are also working with international accreditation bodies to recognise the course in different regions and graduates will be awarded CES/CPD points as part of this process.

What counts as self-practice hours?
Self-practice can include your own Reformer sessions, attending or observing classes, planning class sequences, using our unique class planning software called Instructor Pro which will help you plan effectively, you can access Your Reformer template classes and education tips too which all goes towards building your knowledge and confidence post your certification. Trust us, it's a game changer for Instructors.

What support do I get while I'm studying?
You'll have access to all course materials on the Your Reformer Learning Platform, 6 months complimentary InstructorPro Lite, 6 months complimentary access to the Your Reformer Home App, and the education team at pilateseducation@yourreformer.com. We have also structured 8 mentoring sessions with a YR Master Trainer (1 per week in your first 8 weeks) who will help you to stay on track and support you through the learning. You're not doing this alone.

What is InstructorPro Lite?
InstructorPro is Your Reformer's unique class planning software built to help you plan effectively. You can access YR template classes and education tips, all of which goes towards building your knowledge and confidence post-certification. Trust us, it is a game changer for instructors! The Lite version included with your course gives you access to the same tools working instructors use day to day. It's complimentary for up to 6 months during your certification; after that, you can choose to continue with a small monthly subscription.

Can I access the modules on my phone?
Yes, the modules are available on mobile. For longer study sessions, a desktop or tablet is recommended for the best experience.

What if I need support to stay on track?
Breaking study into smaller sessions, combining theory with your regular practice, and revisiting materials as often as you need are all part of how this course is designed. It's built to work around real life, not the other way around. You also have your weekly mentoring sessions in the first 8 weeks to help you get into a good discipline and rhythm. When you enrol you can book into these sessions as part of your course.

What if I can't access the platform?
Check your login details and spam/junk folders first. If you're still having trouble, contact pilateseducation@yourreformer.com and the team will sort it out.

What happens when I complete the course?
You receive your certification and automatic entry into the YR Collective our community of qualified Your Reformer instructors. You'll also retain access to InstructorPro and ongoing learning resources to keep developing beyond your certification. The YR Collective is a great way to connect with like-minded people and there is an opportunity to earn rewards too!

How much does it cost?
The launch price is $1,495 (normally $1,995) $500 off RRP. Enrolments during the launch period also include a Professional Starter Pack (Prop Starter Kit and Booty Bands, valued at $98 AUD / $88 USD) and an exclusive $400 discount on a Reformer purchase. Enrollment & Live Sessions

There are two live learning sessions a week, do I need to attend both?
No, you do not need to attend both. There are two sessions to accommodate for everyone, both sessions will cover the same topics, so you only need to attend one session a week.

Are live sessions mandatory?
No, live sessions aren't mandatory. Session times are set based on the Master Trainer's availability, so we know they won't suit everyone's schedule. All sessions are recorded and uploaded to the LMS under the resources tab each week, so you can view them in your own time if you can't attend live.

None of the live learning sessions suit me, is there anything to accommodate this?

The good news is that every session is recorded and uploaded to the LMS on the resources tab each week, so you're able to watch them in your own time whenever the live time doesn't work for you.

I received an email with the wrong cohort or start date, which one is correct?
If you receive an email that seems inconsistent with your actual enrollment, please reach out and we'll confirm and correct it on our end. Occasionally these are sent in error.

I am enrolled in two different courses on my Learning Management System?

Exams

Can I go back to a previous question during the exam, or exit and come back?
No - once you start an exam, you cannot go back to a previous question or exit partway through. You do, however, have unlimited attempts, since the pass score is 100%. Because of this, note-taking as you go is highly recommended.

Practice Hours & Logbook

Can previous classes I've attended (before enrolling) count toward my required participation hours?
This depends on your individual circumstances and requires review - if your attendance is logged with your studio and an instructor is willing to sign off, get in touch and we'll confirm whether it can be counted toward your hours.

App & Platform Access

I haven't received access to the Your Reformer Home App - is this part of my course?
Yes, app access (supporting Practice Hours and Instructor Pro) is included as part of the Teacher Training package. You should have received an email the day before your course start date with all the access details to the additional programs included with your course.
